Urban Utilities is the statutory authority responsible for drinking water distribution and sewerage services in South East Queensland (Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, Somerset). It is NOT responsible for stormwater drainage (this is primarily a council function). Its main interaction is ensuring stormwater doesn't enter its sewer network illegally.
