The Environment Protection Authority Victoria is the state's independent environmental regulator. It enforces the Environment Protection Act 2017, including the General Environmental Duty (GED), which requires all Victorians to minimise risks of harm to the environment from pollution and waste, including stormwater pollution. It sets environmental standards and investigates pollution incidents.
